Mission statement:
Property Committee shall be responsible for the care of the church property. To carry out these responsibilities, the committee shall:
- Oversee the care, protection, repair, and maintenance of the church building.
- Oversee the care, maintenance repair, protection and replacement of all church equipment, including office equipment.
- Oversee the care, maintenance, repair, protection, and landscaping of all church grounds.
- Supervise the purchase and installation of all new equipment.
- Develop and update the position description and guidelines for the custodian and provide general supervision of this staff member.
- Recruit and enlist volunteers needed to carry out the committee’s functions.
- Determine and establish, with Council approval, regulations governing the use of church property and equipment.
- Make and keep up to date, and inventory of church equipment, plans specifications, guarantees, leases, contracts, and agreement forms, as well as maintenance schedules.
- Receive report of property and equipment needs to support various congregational ministries from the appropriate committees and groups.
Submit to the Administration Committee, in appropriate form and at the time requested, a budget request for the coming year’s work. |
